The game is old and from the last generation of consoles and looks the part. The cutting enemies gimmick is tons of fun, and turning enemies into literal mince meat never gets old. Seriously, the game is very affordable now. The vocal versions are all worthy of listening to if you like rock music. All the boss fight tracks exists as an instrumental version, and a vocal version with singing that plays as the fight reaches climax.

High energy rock songs full of great guitar work. With the current political situation in the USA I think it's actually better now than at the time of release. The story isn't the best, but it is pure fun, full of memorable dialogue and a one particular "OH MY GOD" moment that's more relevant now than ever.

Our hero Raiden and the boss cyborgs all look very, very cool.

If you like character action games, or just a fan of over the top action then this game is for you!

This game is a ton of fun, and is one of my favourite games of all time now. But as the world plunges further into asymmetric warfare, the only path that leads him forward is rooted in resolving his past, and carving through anything that stands in his way. As a member of the peace-keeping PMC 'Maverick Security', Raiden lives by the mantra of protecting and saving lives. These renegade PMCs employing cyborg technology have become increasingly more disruptive shifting policy and power at will. Furthermore, large 'Private Military Companies', or PMC's, that had been supported and controlled by the Patriots have collapsed, spawning countless rogue entities with origins to larger criminal organizations. The dissemination of cybernetic technology has triggered instability and conflict as those who control the trade gain increasing power. The game has been priced at 29.99, but is available to preorder for 19.

Which brings the question – why lock the resolution and not let us use even 4K resolutions?įOV will also remain the same with the console version (thanks for the heads up Nersdarsm). Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance does not certainly sound as bad – as a port – as Dark Souls, though a lot of PC gamers will curse Konami for locking the resolution to 1080p. “High Zangeki mode is twice as many cut objects as consoles (400/enemies and 400/objects) and they remain on-screen for twice as long (30s).” In addition, players can set the Shadow Zangeki quality to Low, Mid and High.īut exactly does Zangeki do?
